Hi, I'm Vicki, the creative force behind Karrah designs (pronounced 'Ka-rah', it's my nickname!)! The brand is something that I have just fallen into. It all started a few years ago when I made my mum a necklace for her birthday, she got a lot of people asking where she got it and before I knew it I was selling commission pieces through word of mouth. A friend told me about etsy and I set up my shop as a way of getting some extra cash to pay for my University fee's. As well as running Karrah, I am studying in England for a degree in Fashion with manufacture, marketing and promotion, due to graduate very soon, fingers crossed! I used to live in Australia, where I worked for Australian fashion designer Alice McCall. It was an amazing opportunity and I miss it everyday! I'm looking forward to finishing Uni so I can go travelling again, I find it really inspiring and there are so many places that I want to visit before I 'settle down'! On this blog I am going to be sharing my creative process, the travelling, the design development and the finished pieces. I will also be showing you other designers that I love and showcasing the work of other up and coming artisans.
