Sunday treat!

So, now that the wedding is over (I was proud bridesmaid a couple of weeks ago!), I've been letting myself indulge....a lot! I put myself on a pretty strict eating plan for the wedding, so it's been nice eating desserts again :) Below is my fave so far, Eton mess cheesecake. For those who don't know, Eton mess is a summer pudding, with lots of cream, crushed meringue and fresh summer fruits. This was the cheesecake versions, courtesy of Marks & Spencer!

Hello! I just wanted to introduce everyone to a few new styles that I have been working on! I really love lace & floral fabrics for summer and have been experimenting with different textures and styles. I still have more to come, but I'm pretty pleased so far! I've been mixing pretty lace and vintage style prints with distressed tan leather to create multifunctional styles. I've tried a new concept, which allows one bag to be turned into 6 different styles, giving you extra outfit options and more value for money (prices start at just £35!) I've posted the links below, so that you can see how the bags can be styled. As always, I'm happy to offer custom colours and sizes, just ask :)

Brekky :)

Breakfast is my fave meal & I love making a nice brekky & eating it in the sun (the sun has actually started to shine....a little). The other morning I was feeling a little artistic & made this stack of pancakes with maple syrup & fresh strawberries. Delish!

Mothers Day

Mother's day was a month ago, for those of us in England. I treated my mum to a traditional champagne cream tea at a country club....we felt very posh for the day! I just had to share a couple of pics, the presentation was amazing!

I go to London as often as I can (it's about an hour & a half from me, on the train). It's been a while since I have been as a tourist, I usually go looking for inspiration, but last week I thought I would follow the crowds & head to the tourist spots!

Chill out time

When I'm feeling a bit stressed out, or am lacking inspiration, I love to go for a walk. I'm pretty lucky, in that I live in the middle of England, so have lots of options for pretty walking locations. One of my faves is Groby pool, just down the road. I've been going here to feed the ducks since forever and still find it therapeutic to this day (Kind of like Blair Waldorf, those who watch Gossip Girl will know what I mean!). I got a bit snappy on my last trip, after discovering instagram! I don't think the pics are too bad, for a first attempt anyway!

SS12 leather dye samples

So as you can see, I like making a bit of a mess! It had been a long time since I last had an 'experiment day' and I had really missed faffing around in my kitchen sporting some rubber gloves! I wanted to try and create some prints for my new range of leather clutch bags. I loved the impression of the textured glove onto the leather & will be developing this further, stay tuned! One of the new styles is now in the shop; the 'treebark' print foldover leather clutch;

The 'Treebark' printed zipper clutch will soon follow;

Charity event

I had to share this with everyone.....my little cousin, who is only 5 will be running 3 miles to raise money for 'sports relief' charity. He saw one of the charity's adverts on TV, showing starving children in Africa, and asked his parents if he could send them some sausages and Bolognese sauce. So his parents suggested taking part in this run instead, to raise what he now calls his 'sausage money'. As well as finding this incredibly cute, I also found it really inspiring and want to take part in any way that I can. So 10% of the Karrah profits, from now until the race (25th March), will be going to the 'sausage fund'. In addition, I was hoping that some of my lovely readers would be so kind as to make a donation, by clicking here. Thanks in advance :)

I realise that most of you reading this won't be from England and may have never heard of sports relief. Basically, a series of sports related fund-raising events take place on March 25th and all of the money raised helps poor, underprivileged peole from all around the world. Even as little as £5 can help transform someones life; this is enough to buy provisions for a child working on the streets of Nepal. More information on the lives that need changing can be found on the sports relief website here.

February already?!

I'm a little freaked out by how quickly the weeks seem to be rushing by! Christmas was only last week wasn't it?! On the plus side, it means that I can look forward to the warmer months :) Karrah HQ is currently a sea of pastel shades, so I thought I would share some of my colour inspiration to lighten the mood on this dull, grey day!
