Fashion week!

So....I admit the picture quality isn't great! But I was really excited after the graduate fashion show that I was lucky enough to be a part of & wanted to share as soon as I could! The 'pleats please' dress is part of the Karrah Designs SS11 collection, more information available here.

As some of you may know I have recently become fascinated with pleats and different ways to manipulate fabric, you can see some of my experiments below! I've started to notice a bit of a trend for pleats in the fashion world & I'm glad! I think they have had bad press lately, but I think you will agree the ones above are far from boring! As always, all comments welcome!

I am very excited to be sharing the results of the first Karrah Designs photoshoot with you. I worked with the very talented Ellie Gale, who's portfolio can be seen here. We managed to find Anna, a stunning Russian model who had just moved to Mancehster for uni. I am very grateful to the both of them for their hard work and I am so pleased with the results! All of the stress was worth it! Most of these items will be available in the shop soon. I have ordered some more leather today in some bright shades and can't wait to try out some new bag ideas :)

I've really been getting into colour lately and have been trying out some new textiles techniques ready for  my SS11 launch. Above are some images showing my initial inspiration, which I then developed and took in a different direction, so they would sit in with my collection and have a unique feel about them.
