Inspiration....'Orion'

I've always been fascinated by the stars and found some great images that I've been using for inspiration for my winter collection. I loved the colours and textures; all of the metallics and sparkle is perfect for the holiday season! Karrah now available at Independent boutique!

Hi everyone! Sorry for being away for so long, things got kinda hectic! I've been busy designing a range to go onto Independent Boutique, one of my favourite online stores where you can buy amazing fashion products from small, independent labels. They have been amazing to work with and I'm so thrilled to have this opportunity. Above is a bag that is exclusive to IB, I've manipulated metallic leather into a 3d shape to create something eyecathing and unique; a conversation piece great for the party season! Hope you like!

Leigh Webb London launch party

I was fortunate enough to attend the press evening for Leigh Webb London, a new high end fashion line set up by my former classmate Katie Webb (pictured in the blue dress!). Kate's graduate collection 'plicatrix' won a national competition run by Biddle Sawyer silks and has received praise from industry insiders and stylists alike! I'm so very proud of her! So....I admit the picture quality isn't great! But I was really excited after the graduate fashion show that I was lucky enough to be a part of & wanted to share as soon as I could! The 'pleats please' dress is part of the Karrah Designs SS11 collection, more information available here.

As some of you may know I have recently become fascinated with pleats and different ways to manipulate fabric, you can see some of my experiments below! I've started to notice a bit of a trend for pleats in the fashion world & I'm glad! I think they have had bad press lately, but I think you will agree the ones above are far from boring! I am very excited to be sharing the results of the first Karrah Designs photoshoot with you. I worked with the very talented Ellie Gale, who's portfolio can be seen here. We managed to find Anna, a stunning Russian model who had just moved to Mancehster for uni. I am very grateful to the both of them for their hard work and I am so pleased with the results! All of the stress was worth it! Most of these items will be available in the shop soon. I have ordered some more leather today in some bright shades and can't wait to try out some new bag ideas :)
